ORS was founded in 1999 by Gordon Green and David Black, with the mission of providing top-level skilled physical therapy in a fun and relaxed environment. Over the years, ORS has grown by leaps and bounds, adding staff, locations, treatment offerings, and the Certified Hand Center. Why? Because we hire good people and do good work, and because we are constantly changing and growing to better meet the needs of our patients and referring physicians. If there is one thing that sets ORS apart from the rest, it is the handpicked staff, each of whom has a unique skill set and physical therapy focus.  The end result is better care and optimum results for our patients through specialized care.

We have offices in Rockford, Belvidere, Byron, Loves Park, Dixon and Winnebago, all staffed with friendly specialists who love what they do. Our main focus is the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders and dysfunctions, including neck and low back pain, post-surgical procedures, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, hand and wrist therapy, balance and coordination issues and many other outpatient diagnoses. We work to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent further injury through education. Our ORS specialists have an average of 17 years of experience unlike other therapy offices – and know how to treat a wide range of conditions. Plus, we use a team approach to care, conferring with other in-house specialists for opinions and ideas, which means our patients and their physicians can be confident that we will develop a comprehensive and effective treatment plan, even in difficult cases.
