Arthroscopic surgery is a common orthopedic procedure that is used to diagnose and treat problems in joints. Among the most common orthopedic surgical procedures is arthroscopic knee surgery. Arthroscopic knee surgery is most commonly performed to remove torn cartilage within the knee. The procedure, called a menisectomy, is done using a small camera that allows the surgeon to remove the damaged cartilage through a small incision.
